Data deletion
You can remove your data from hov at any time. Choose what you want to remove below. Everything is permanent once the waiting time ends.
Remove one social account
- In hov, open Channels and choose the account.
- Choose Disconnect. Its access key is deleted at once and hov can no longer publish to it or read from it.
- Posts scheduled for that account are stopped and marked Needs a fix. Results already collected stay in your workspace until you delete it.
Remove hov from inside the social network
You can also take away hov’s access from the network itself. hov then deletes the access key and the account’s data within 30 days. Menu names can differ by app version.

When you remove hov on Facebook or Instagram, Meta sends us a deletion request and you receive a confirmation code with a link to check its status.
Delete a whole workspace
- The workspace owner opens Settings → Workspace and chooses Delete workspace.
- Every scheduled post stops and every social account is disconnected at once.
- All posts, media, comments, approvals, results, team members and client approver details are deleted after 30 days. Until then the owner can restore it by writing to us.
Delete your own account
Open Profile → Delete my account. If you own a workspace, first hand it to someone else or delete it. Your account is deleted after 30 days.
Leave the early access list
Use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or write to [email protected]. We delete your email from the list within 7 days.
Ask us by email
Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account, or include the confirmation code you received from Meta. Tell us what you want deleted. We confirm within 7 days and finish within 30 days.
Client approvers: your name and email belong to the workspace that invited you. Write to us and we will pass your request to that workspace and make sure it is handled.
What we keep, and for how long
- Backups hold deleted data for up to 14 more days, then it is gone.
- Invoices and accounting records are kept as long as tax law requires, even after a workspace is deleted.
- Security logs are kept for 12 months.
